If you're looking to celebrate happy hour anywhere in Pasadena, go for Magnolia House. Part-bar, part-lounge, part-cozy, classy urban getaway.
I dropped in after a long day of computer work and cafe-hopping on Larchmont, and grabbed a table with my brother and his girlfriend. The atmosphere is perfect for relaxing after a busy day, with conversations buzzing at just the right level to give you that little pick-me-up boost of Monday night life.
We ordered a flatbread and beer combo as well as their house sangria off of their happy hour selection. On top of that, libations included a 'Marigold at Magnolia's' lemon vodka with honey and rosewater, an 'American Dream' strawberry infused bourbon, and their 'Cocktail of the Moment' which was a rose infused vodka.
It's rare for me to rate a drink 10/10, but every drink we ordered was definitely top notch. The in-house mixologist knows his shit in terms of drinks and flavor profiles. The drinks were just the right amount of sweetness, bitterness and a kick to help you let down your hair.
