I've had this hole-in-the-wall restaurant on my radar for almost a year now, and while buying groceries in Chinatown I noticed their logo on a side of the building next door - I didn't realize how close it was! Before heading home I decided to stop by and give it a try.
Located in a little mini-mall, they made really good use of space inside the restaurant so finding a seat wasn't difficult, and there were picnic tables outside in the courtyard to sit down too. Street parking shouldn't be too difficult if you're there later at night.
They're pretty well-known for their 'ooey gooey' fries - beer-battered fries topped with cheddar, monterey jack, cotija, chilis, cilantro, pickled garlic, and a sour cream sambal. They also have a good selection of different rice and noodle bowls on the board.
We tried their Sour Cream Hen House bowl, Chicken Adobo bowl, and a half-order of their fries.
The food definitely says Asian fusion as it didn't taste authentic to anything, but it was still pretty good! (I might be biased about the adobo bc of all the homemade I'm used to). Both of the rice bowls had a new and very complex set of flavors yet they still had a comforting feel about it.
